1. Take a stroll down the beginning of Victoria Street and end at the first junction, which is the junction of Victoria Street and Bras Basah Road. We will visit the rest of Victoria Street another day.

 

This shows the beginning of Victoria Street. The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd is on the left and CHIJ Convent on the right.

Walk along the road straight ahead.

A closer look at Cathedral of the Good Shepherd.

That's the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ). It's now known as CHIJMES.

This is the famous Gate Of Hope at which, in the old days, babies were abandoned and it was through this door that they were accepted by the sisters of CHIJ.

Now, we have reached the first junction, which is the junction of Victoria Street and Bras Basah Road.
