The Singapore Mint welcomes you on a historical trail to trace the coinage history of officially issued coins from the days of the Straits Settlements till today (1845 – 2002).

With a limited mintage of 10,000 sets, this set of 17 coin replicas and circulation coins all in the cents denominations represents different eras in Singapore’s history. Each set is authenticated by a serialised certificate with brief write up on each coinage issue.

From the portrait of Queen Victoria issued in 1845 to Queen Elizabeth II issued in 1953, 7 coin replicas featuring 7 different portraits of Kings and Queens mark the political change in Singapore from Straits Settlements to becoming part of Malaya and British Borneo.

Minted in close precision to actual coins, ½ cent, ¼ cent, square-shaped and silver minted circulation coin not seen today can be found in one of these 7 replicas. More.....
