| Sparkleshark |
| By Philip Ridley |
| Presented by
Imaginarts |
| Up on an HDB roof,
Jake writes stories in secret. The boys at school think he's an
easy victim. To the girls, Jake's almost one of them. But when the
gang arrive on the scene, they're in for the biggest surprise of
their lives. To save himself, Jake weaves his best story
yet. It's so good that, despite themselves, the gand demand
starring roles in the mysteries, perils, love quests and a
terrifying encounter with Sparkleshark. |
| Written by a top
UK award-winning author, Sparkelshark was first performed in 1997
at the National Theatre, London, and toured the UK throughout
2000. |

Mark
Chan - Modern Mystic
|
Recording
artist/composer/singer/flautist Mark Chan has created a uniquely
personal brand of World and Ambient music with his blend of
Eastern and Western instruments, modern rhythms and ancient
textures. In both songs andddd instrumental pieces, his soaring
melodies and his captivating lyrics create an irresistible world
where the magical meets the mundane, where heartache and longing
meet hope and dance. Where Mystic meets the Modern. |
| Modern
Mystic is not just the type of music. It is also the excellent
Band of musicians that Mark is constantly working with:
Marcel Heijnen:
sequencing, keyboards and guitar; Dominic Wan: acoutic guitar;
Tommy Soo: zhongruan; Wil Kolen: bass and electric guitar; Reggie
Perera: diggeridoo, drums, percussion; Mark: flutes, vocals,
acoustic guitar |
