Belly Of The Carp

Listen to the stories of men and women who lived, loved and laboured around the river from the days of Raffles to now. Imagine, if only you could hear them speak! What memories must murmur among the deserted godowns? What secrets might the water set free, from silt and silence and obscurity?

An excellent cast!

Featuring LIM Yu-Beng, Karen TAN, Tony QUEK, Catherine SNG, Gene Sharudyn & Wendy KWEH

Belly Of The Carp is based on the winner of the 1995 Singapore Literature Prize, and is directed by the author, Roger Jenkins. Born in Changi, he returned here in 1978 and has established a theatrical reputation as a versatile teacher, director, writer and performer through his work with STARS, Hi! Theatre, The Madhatters Comedy Company and Dramaplus Arts, of which 3.14 Company is the threatre-production arm.
