SHORT & SWEET - THE WORLD¡¯S BIGGEST SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL - IS COMING TO SINGAPORE!

No matter whether you have written several plays or none at all, Short & Sweet is a fantastic opportunity to see your work produced professionally on stage, and to work with other passionate writers, directors and actors.
Short & Sweet is a playwriting competition that will culminate in a festival of 20 *ten-minute* plays (plus additional readings) staged during April/May 2007 at NAFA, Arts House and the Esplanade.
The Festival will give at least 20 DIRECTORS, WRITERS, and 60+ ACTORS a unique opportunity to work side by side to produce entertaining, thought-provoking and high quality theatre.
To date, Short & Sweet has staged nearly 400 plays, watched by 18,000+ people. In the 2006 Sydney season alone, over 1,000 entries were received and 140 plays were performed.
Short & Sweet presents and supports more new theatre than any other event in the Australian theatrical calendar, and it has launched the careers of countless aspiring actors, writers and directors. We believe it will have as positive an impact on the theatre scene here.
